REGISTERED DIETITIAN • CERTIFIED INTUITIVE EATING COUNSELOR • PERSONAL TRAINER

Since beginning my career, my mission has been to help others overcome the toughest challenges in reaching their nutrition and health goals. I’m passionate about educating people on nutrition while guiding them to eat intuitively and enjoy the foods they love. I also bring my own love of cooking into my work, using culinary-medicine principles to show how nourishing, whole-food ingredients, herbs, and spices can support health in a food-as-medicine approach.

My counseling philosophy is rooted in the anti-diet principles of Intuitive Eating: rejecting the diet mentality, honoring hunger, making peace with food, respecting the body, and prioritizing health. I take a body-neutral approach to exercise, helping clients heal their relationship with food and cultivate appreciation for their body while discovering how enjoyable, accessible cooking can make balanced eating feel natural and sustaining.

I am a registered and licensed dietitian with extensive experience studying and working with behavior change theory, motivational interviewing, and working in research and development for nutrition education programs.
I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Mississippi and completed my Masters degree in Nutrition at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

I am a certified coach in the CDC's Diabetes Prevention Program and as a Nutrition Coach through the Tony Stephan Nutrition Coach Certification Program, recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I am also certified in Intuitive Eating Counseling through the Original Intuitive Eating Pros Program, led by the co-authors of Intuitive Eating. Education is my passion, and I serve as a full-time Graduate Program Director in dietetics.

I work with all ages and I also love working with children and families! I have years of experience as a Food Service Director in school nutrition, and I’ve also led and coordinated healthy cooking classes in several elementary schools for a large school district, helping students discover the joy of making nutritious food and get excited about healthy eating and preparing nourishing foods.

I genuinely enjoy being in the media and sharing my expertise with a wider audience. I’ve been featured on TMJ4’s The Morning Blend and other news outlets—be sure to check out my segments! When I’m not working or pouring myself into my clients, you’ll find me in the kitchen cooking, hiking outdoors, or tending to my garden. I also love developing recipes in my free time. My messy test kitchen is my happy place! Check out my recipes.

I believe that nutrition and exercise go hand-in-hand, and the mind-body connection is necessary to strive for optimal wellness and feel good in your own skin.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I’m excited to work virtually with clients from a body-neutral perspective to help them reach their fitness goals and live healthier, happier lives. My approach is focused on practical movement and feeling your best. My goal is for you to be kinder to yourself and appreciate all the amazing things your body can do!
