Yield: 8 hot dog crescent rolls

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 package crescent roll dough

  • 1 package hot dogs

  • Candy eyeballs

  • Ketchup or mustard

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Unroll the crescent dough and set the strips aside for now.

  3. Cut a 2-inch slit down the center of one end of a hot dog, then make four more 2-inch cuts alongside it so you end up with four evenly sized “legs.” Flip the hot dog and repeat the same cuts on the other end. Do this for all the remaining hot dogs. Press down on the legs slightly to separate--but be careful not to tear the legs off!

  4. Roll a strip of crescent dough around the center of each hot dog and place on prepared baking sheet.

  5. Bake in oven for 11-13 minutes.

  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. If you’d like, add edible googly eyes for a fun touch—just use a small dab of your favorite condiment to help them stick to the crescent roll.
