A sweet and savory bite with all the best fall flavors
Jalapeno Popper Chicken Bake

If you need an easy appetizer that looks fancy but takes almost no effort, these pear, prosciutto, and goat cheese bites are it. They combine sweet, juicy pear with creamy goat cheese, salty prosciutto, and peppery arugula for the perfect balance of flavors in every bite.

I love recipes like this for entertaining because there’s no cooking involved and only a handful of ingredients to pull together. Pears also bring some fiber and vitamin C to the appetizer table, while the combination of goat cheese and prosciutto adds plenty of savory flavor.

Drizzle everything with a little honey right before serving for a touch of sweetness that brings it all together. They’re perfect for a fall gathering, holiday appetizer spread, or anytime you want something that feels a little fancy without spending hours in the kitchen!

Yield: 8 bites

Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 large pear, cored and cut into 8 slices

  • 8 pieces prosciutto

  • 2 oz. flavored goat cheese (I used cranberry goat cheese and garlic/herb goat cheese)

  • 1/4 c baby arugula

  • 1-2 Tbsp honey

  • Cocktail toothpicks (optional)

Directions:

  1. Gather a slice of pear, a slice of goat cheese, and arugula. Wrap in prosciutto slice. Place a cocktail toothpick in the center to hold together.

  2. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

  3. Drizzle with honey. Enjoy!
